Further update on DTAA with Kenya

As advised in our article dated 24 April 2019 (available here), a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (“DTAA”) was signed between Kenya and Mauritius during the visit of the President of the Republic of Kenya, Mr. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, in Mauritius. The two countries have, on 16 October, signed a protocol amending the said DTAA in Washington. The DTAA and the newly signed protocol will now need to be ratified by each country and should further improve the economic relations between Mauritius and Kenya.
